It's a fair walk from the nearest railway station (Blundellsands & Crosby) to this micropub which can be found in the latest Good Beer Guide. It is another good addition to the local micropub scene, but probably not the finest example of its kind in the area.
The bar is to the rear left of the main room, whilst there is a small conservatory off to the rear right-hand side. The bar has 5 handpulls. On our visit, these were clipped with Black Lodge Baltic Best & Four Star Daydream, Colbier Adagio, Salopian Firkin Freezin' & Thornbridge Jaipur. Craft beers were Salopian Auric and my choice Abbeydale Pilgrim.
Dogs are welcome and there were 3 present, almost as many as there were other customers. Other customers seemed to be quite friendly.
You'd have to make a special effort to get out to this place. It's a good 10 or 15 minute walk to the Old Tap or the Homebrew Tap (the former Liverpool Pigeon), but you could just about incorporate into a bit of a crawl. I'm sure I'll be back some day.

This micropub was formerly a Mexican restaurant. The new joint owners decided to open this micro after their favourite micropub the "Pigeon" on Endbutt Lane closed its doors.
The interior consists of a front lounge area, bar area back left hand side and a conservatory down the right hand side of the building. I met with one of the owners, who was very welcoming and chatty and passionate about his new pub. Five handpumps with four in use on my visit, Salopian Sabotage, Red Willow Feckless Bitter and Headless pale and Round Corner Brewing Use It Or Lose It.
The beer quality was excellent and the prices were also good. Defo will be making a return visit.
